The Rainbow's End

It's hard not to get a little emotional when I see a rainbow over the farm given the first day we took possession of the farm we had a rainbow in the sunset after a little rain, not to mention a full moon that night. It was kind of Mother Natures way of telling me and confirming that this was meant to be.

Mandarins and Oranges yield

Though only very small and limited numbers our fruit trees are finally starting to give back which has been pretty exciting. I should imagine it will be still years to come before they are really producing.

Randall the 3 Day Cat

We managed to adopt a Cat from the RSPCA - Our intent was to have the Cat roaming the farm feasting on Rats and Mice in order for me to reduce the amount of baits which I have had to use to keep them under control. Unfortunately old Randal came to us untamed in fact he was trapped by the Council the same week we adopted him. Though we tried to keep him indoors as soon as he got out he disappeared becoming no doubt another statistic of roaming wild cats, desexed at least. Hopefully in 2020 we will run the gauntlet of it again with adopting another one but making sure we're not the last ones adopting a cat on the RSPCA adoption day (which is great initiative)

Me and Jane

One thing that we have been extremely lucky with is our Farrier, not only does he do feet he is also a cowboy from way back. He has helped me no end with some lessons and pointers. I've now known him over a couple of years now and he is a great guy who share's a love and passion for music as I do. I look forward to many more years of friendship to come, he has been a blessing in disguise on many fronts when it comes to the horses.

My New Toy

After owning a bike in my early 20's it was always my intent to one day own another, your never to old to experience the wind through your hair. I must say though the Australian Laws which changed several years ago have hampered me somewhat making it difficult for me to own my dream bike (the M109R) for at least 2 years I'm restricted to this. Though she's not as fast or as big as I would like it has been fun getting reacquainted again with a motor between my legs.
