I don’t get to spend to many weekends away from the farm these days, with all the animals and work to be done it’s getting harder and harder to miss any weekends up there these days. But recently I got to spend a night with a couple of very good mates, brothers from other mothers. The other thing I don’t see to many times nowadays is watching the sun rise (getting to bloody old) but it was comforting to just kick back and enjoy some of the old stories of virtues along with the new whilst sharing a beer and watching the flames lick the fire drum with these two gentlemen. There is never a mask worn amongst us and that is true friendship, might have taken me a long time to realise that in life and I am thankful to still be a member of this wolfpack.

Another Birthday at "The Farm"
This weekend seen my little Brother turn 40 with a little celebration at the farm. He defines the word Brother, he is always there, and we have stuck by each other through thick and thin no matter what life has thrown at us. Though I probably don't tell him enough I am so proud of him and I always enjoy and cherish the time we get to spend together. Sure, he has room for improvement and some of his ways are unconventional but there wouldn't be to many men in this world that would take on raising three young children by themselves, not to mention he works full time as well. And it is testament to him with all three of those children worshipping the ground he walks on and you can certainly feel the love between the four of them and in a world that is becoming more and more materialistic what they might lack in the latest toys there is no denying that all these three kids have a beautiful nature in their own different ways, just like their Dad – “Happy Birthday Mate”

Buddy come's for a visit
One thing that I worked out on the weekend is that my youngest niece seems to have an infinity with animals. She absolutely holds no fear of the horses yet they all seem to behave around her and it's a beautiful natural thing to witness. Whilst she is yet to conquer the goat and sheep I have no doubt she will in time in the meantime it will be nursing chickens and brushing and cuddling horses.
