Two new arrivals to our family

Introducing Jemima and Sammy two Boer two-year-old Doe goats, cut to the chase Gunston's new girlfriends, his Goat Tinder profile has now been deleted no more swiping left or right for my well-endowed friend. No, we haven’t entered a breeding program of such it was more about giving back Millie her dignity and sanity. If you remember the cartoon of Pepe Le Pew (cat and skunk) you will know totally what I am talking about. Though even with the two new arrivals Millie and Gunston are still inseparable still choosing to do everything together, it’s just now he is looking for special cuddles from his own kind. For the first time on the farm it was great to know a bit of history about the animals before receiving them. Both were hand raised by our recent shearer and his wife on their little farm at Hervey Bay after hearing of Gunston’s love affair with Millie and their admiration for Gunston they offered up their girls to become Gunston’s new female friends – certainly no political incorrectness here. Another two characters to the farm who are fitting in well, “BUT” more animals mean more work and more side tracking, the main bedroom still not being finished. The way it is sitting the Goats and Sheep will sleep in more comfort than I over Xmas.

"They were never Dead"

I think I have mentioned previously that I have had great difficulties in getting grapes to grow. I currently had three vines which have been dormant and with the resemblance of nothing but three grey sticks in the ground so much, so I was very close to ripping them out. A couple of weeks ago I remember saying to myself I will have to pull them out next weekend after watering the sticks over a 8-12 week period for absolute no change or growth and then bang here we are, all three vines of different variety grapes are up and running.
