Another W'end rolls by
Not much happened this weekend at the ranch, due to lack of sleep. We didn't arrive until late Friday night only for me to receive a phone call from Larry at 1.30am to say that Rusty, Rupert and himself were in the back of a paddy wagon.
Luckily they were actually not to far away from the farm, all staying at the Sunshine Coast for a 21st, one of Larry's good mates. The party had moved to a night club when Rusty had got involved in an altercation therfore receiving attention from one of the security bouncers on the way out which lead to his brothers getting involved. I am just releived that no one was seriously hurt and at the end of the day I am more happy that they all looked after each other.
I could go into it more but it probably doesn't deserve the glorification other than they just looked after each other - the rest I don't care to tell about.....though I have no doubt they all took a valuable life lesson from the night, hoping so anyways.
So Saturday was basicaly a right off, nothing is worse than that feeling of being so tired yet not being able to sleep. I couldn't get into it nor could I nanny nap, though I did enjoy the afternoon with quality bubble time spent with Audrey which was probably long overdue, things get so busy in the day to day weeky rut that we often find ourselves in.
Given the perfect conditions I lit the half yearly bomb fire late Saturday afternoon, which was a great spectacle for mysef and Graham sharing a pleasurable beer beside it, its funny how two blokes don't talk just stand there staring into the flames....."the ambience" as Graham would say.
The other notable thing up there is the creek is still raging and not much beats the sound of sitting on the deck listening to it, currently it is compariable to almost living on the beach. Its amasing how much goes by the wayside in the city during the week - sounds, sites and smells its hard to describle the feeling you get up there sometimes but even more difficult trying to describe it....and leaving it, well its just plain old hard sometimes.
